I would never use it. I'm always shooting my caplock or flinters now with the Omega sitting in the vault collecting dust. Now if I lived out west it could very well be a different picture.... or even S. ON where you can get some long bean field shooting in I can see the practicality of it. None the less, that is still a very long ways to be shooting at a critter.

ET1, I think they said they were using Parker bullets. I have heard (read) good things about their line of bullets.

Bob Parker: I have found my Savage to be user friendly and very accurate. The
projectile it seems to like best is the 300 grain Match/Hunter. Accuracy with
this projectile is sub 3/4 inch and down range performance is very good. The

Thanks for posting the additional info.
As stated before I’m not a fan of 300grain bullets. The max I want to use is the 275XPB (460 S&W) that I believe will make an excellent load for moose.

For deer I use the 250SST and can produce less than a minute of angle accuracy.
The older version of the hard tipped 250SST was a real shooter but fragmented like crazy at close range. The newer Flex Tip 250SST doesn’t fragment as easily but some deterioration to accuracy.

I also have plans for the 225FTX and 200FTX for Mr. Coyote. Lots of experimental fun ahead but just need to find the time to get out and play more often.
