I would have to agree with some of the comments on that article. How could a bullet travel through the side of a house and yet still be in such pristine condition, let alone just fall to the floor like that. The bullet appears to be jacketed while having a bit of a hollow point, from what I can tell in the pic. Something smells fishy here methinks.

I hope the police are competent enough to determine if this was staged or not. Assuming it wasn't staged, it could be that the bullet had very little energy left by the time it reached the wall. As this house is in a new developpment, the rear of the house (and likely the upper half of the front) is vinyl siding over a piece of chipbord or even something less rigid, a bit of insulation and a piece of drywall, so it wouldn't take much energy to penetrate that. The bullet in the picture has obviously been cleaned up (probably for analysis by the police) as the picture in the link I originally provided showed a bullet that was dirty. Anyways, if it was staged, I hope this information is revealed to the public.
