What ever became of the show they had up in Orangeville ?
They should look at moving the venue up the 400 near the BPS....if guys can make it there to shop, they should be able to make it there for a show.

Does that quantify a good show? free parking and cheap admission?

No, it's a bonus and makes it affordable for a young family to come out and enjoy....should be the goal of all shows !!

I can't believe its the price of the show or parking that is keeping people away..... ($45 for a family of 4.... $14 for underground parking isn't bad at all) its got to be the venue itself that is keeping people away....

Your right, but..if the show sucks as well, then your not going to go back next year due to the cost...so year after year you'd see a steady decline in admission....Remember, that $45+$15 + lunch is a $100 outing...burned once twice shy

Those who really shop for outdoor gear, do not go to the sportsmans show to buy stuff because they know better. I think that they are trying to attract people who spend a week at a rental cottage and then want to think they are the next survivor man.

I have been to the Ottawa show twice I would say they jacked up prices when I was there a few vendors with extremely over priced products as well to pay a fee to view a large advertisement. The only reason I went in the past was because I was given free tickets.
I guess it's a good way to kill an afternoon in Feb.
Tried to geta few free tickets this year but I guess the company didn't keep any for themselves.

GW, your talking about the Outdoors Show...it's mostly a boat show...huge prices and VERY little actual sports stuff at that show. Different client base goes to that show compared to the Carp Sportsman Show.....
