So sad . I also was touched by the young man who fell over in his wheel chair in his laneway and couldn't get up - froze to death.

Terrible. You really have to be watching kids of that age at all times. My daughter is capable of opening the door and leaving, but we have an alarm that would alert us. If she was staying with others they likely wouldn't have anything to alert them.

Really sad. Poor little guy was probably looking for his mother. My daughter did something similar when she was about 3 or 4 but I managed to hear the door open. We installed door catches - that she couldn't reach or operate - after that.

This is Terrible news and makes a knot in your stomach for sure!

Expecting a kid and this opened my eyes on WHAT I can do to prevent something like this with my soon to be child!

Just a terrible thing for all involved. Even the first responders and searchers have a hard time dealing with such a tragedy. Makes you hug your kids abit tighter
