Ok I thought so but thought well maybe they changed it when they brought in the online renewal. I did the same thing I sat on the floor in front of my fridge for the neutral background and took a selfie, one of the only times I will admit I took a selfie. lol.

Photo Instructions You are not required to submit a passport type photograph or a photograph that has been taken by a professional photographer.
