Over the border (NY State or Ohio)
Hey everyone,
I'm planning a fishing trip for our regular group of guys. We were thinking of possibly going over the border into New York State or Ohio somewhere. We will be looking to either camp or stay at a fishing lodge/cabins. I'm hoping to get some recommendations from anyone who has been any where worth while in those areas or comparable distance. Also somewhere not too busy with boat traffic or families vacationing would be ideal. We go on these trips to get away from all of that. We all live in the Toronto area.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those are two pretty populated areas. I am more familiar with Ohio than NY, but if you are looking to "get away from it all" I would probably be looking at Northern Ontario. There's lots of people in both of those states, there's pretty good fishing in Lake Erie from Ohio, but it's still a busy area.

Thanks. I'm thinking we will stick with northern Ontario also. I haven't found to much down there. We a good place we went to last year on Pickerel River. We did well last year and had a great time. If it's not broken....
