Crossing the border to Pa with a long gun

The ATF form can take a good 4-5 weeks depending on the time of year. I was checked for serial number matching the ATF form once coming back into Canada. This was when the Boston marathon bombings took place so I guess the borders were on high alert? Anyway a quick check by them and we were on our way. Normally the Canadian side would just ask for your PAL.

They would have been checking for illegal importing.....

Nothing is required at all now if you are just passing thru the states on your way to Canada......ie..ontario to alberta thru the states.

Fill out a form ( i forget what its called) when you enter the states and thats it...
