Do not update it. This is how it gets disabled.

I have the newest update on my alpha and have put it on my fathers too. I have allso updated his 320 and a friends just a couple days ago. They all work without any problems.

4.3 on the alpha working fine collars are all updated to 2.5 (the latest update).

I am pretty sure they sopped updating the 220 and DC30 before the started with the disabling updates so you should be good with a 220 and DC30 or DC 40 collar.

its just a rumor about updating your unit on the Garmin web site. I have downloaded the most resent soft wear for my alpha (4.50)and its still working. I know of at least 10 other people that have down loaded soft wear so they can track the DC50 and t5 collars. I also had a good talk with a company that field trials all of Garmin new products and he said the same thing it all a big rumor in Ontario.

Thanks for the info but what is the dif from the 220 to the 330 I run a beagle and love the unit.And if there is any letter I could send could someone help me out with it.I have dyslexia and have trouble with letters
