Finally Leaf Fans see the light
No; not the Stanley, but not paying to see a carnival on ice. Leafs finally after 16 years did not sell out last night. 1/2 price tickets available. It is too bad Buffalo is as inempt as they are or hockey fans could have an option.

BDH I've been a leaf fan for over 50 years and can HONESTLY say I haven't watched more than 10 minutes of a Leaf game since Caryle was fired, didn't even realize it was actually on Saturday night . wife and I ate a late supper listening to music instead.
have turned down 3 invites to private boxes. I hope they get even less people at their remaining games this year. and from the looks of things another 3-5 years before they can even think of making the playoffs. I wouldn't be a bit surprising if you see a lot of private boxes vacant next year. it was like the RAPTORS of a few years back, you couldn't pay someone to go watch them.
I work with a DIE HARD Leaf fan, Blue Truck think he probably had maple leaf sheets on his bed and he said the same thing, that he had turned down invites to go.

LMAO! They're in a panic because they missed their sell-out by 600 seats?
It needs to be 8,000 seats for an entire season or two. Leafs management need to be slapped until their eye-balls rattle. That's what the fans did in Chicago. The arena was virtually empty for years before their management smartened up. The same thing needs to happen here,in great big doses.

I am personally loving the new and improved Leafs.
Most of my business contacts are from TO. Now we no longer have to discuss hockey for half an hour before getting to the task at hand. Nobody wants to say they cheer for the laughs.
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

That was my first thought as well when I read the news. If there were 6000 unsold seats that would be different. I also read that last Saturdays home game was the first since the early 70's that wasn't carried by the CBC. They went with the Montreal game because it had more interest.

Sadly the Leafs have money with no valid excuses, and players that want to be a Leaf. Buffalo has neither!
