no idea about the trail subject numbers in Europe, but the leaflet talks only about 224 subjects for the US trail with one reported adverse event. the birth abnormalities are not further discussed; I bet they were considered statistically not significant, otherwise they would not have received approval for the drug.
it's not one of those live safer drugs, so to me it certainly falls into the wait and see category for the next 2-3 years.
My thinking exactly. I will wait a couple years and see. If it's better then I may try it. Advantix II works great for now.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

I used Liberty50 for all the dogs again this year and didn't find any fleas or ticks on any of them since we started it back in May.

At $13 for a two month supply (TSC U.S.) it cost peanuts compared to Advantix and works the same.....because it use the same active ingredient. So to change to a oral dose product would cost more, but might be worth it for the convenience.

My wive is with the majority...maybe wait a year or two to see how the reviews fair.

Anyone hear anything more about Bravecto and where to get it at a reasonable cost in Canada? It seems well priced at some American vet sites. I have enough Advantix to do my dogs for two months but would like to use the pills for the remainder of the season if possible.

Available by vet prescription only so I see no sites for purchasing it. I wanted to use the Seresto collar for fleas and ticks this year. They can be bought on line but can't get them shipped to Canada , so I'll be going with advantix 2 .
