So.......Rural lives and the protection of them are less important than urban lives?

Folks, Freedom isn't defined by "safety". Freedom is the ability to live without gov. interference.

"someone might have weapons that could accidentally claim their children’s lives"

How does it go again? If guns cause crime all of mine are faulty?

Wow. I've been on the road and only just got to read this one. It's jaw-dropping.

Bingo...... even though their point of view is wrong, it has gone nationwide, and thus, achieved their goals, hence more advertising $. Keep talking about stupidity and they will do it again.

Nope. Going nationwide to a ticked-off audience doesn't bring in more ad dollars.

This is way simpler. Everyone in AB is not conservative. One in three votes left. And Edmonton is the one city in AB that elects Liberal MPs.

    The paper knows its readership.

The parent company (PostMedia) of the Edmonton Journal just bought Sun Media and has been approved by the Competition Bureau. It'll be very interesting to watch the editorial content of Sun newspapers to take a decidedly leftist bent along the same lines as The National Post and Toronto Star.

The writers should move to Brazil and see what life is like there with a government that has taken away their right to own firearms.

They don't care why you read it, just that you do, more readers = more ad $.

Well the stupidity didn't end with the first article. If the first installment didn't raise your blood pressure then Margo Goodhand's response to the readership will really put you over the top...
