Interesting to see all the extra training and education during our lives. I got out of high school (grade 13) with 4 sciences and four maths, along with a double French but could not get my diploma because I didn't have my native English. I then entered a field that required grade ten. During my 25 years at the trade (electrician) I also did plumbing, welding and took courses in landscaping, photography, gunsmithing and machining as well with basic computer. Most everything I learned has been of some value someplace even if a lot is now obsolete.
I was told that once I had a trade and my Interprovincial License I was set for life, but I was off work for a few years after my heart surgery, and when I tried to renew my license was told that I would have to go thru my apprenticeship again and retake the tests...
