Default 75 Deer in 30 min

A buddy and I were driving south of London tonight, around 7 pm. Like any hunter, I always have my head on a swivel hoping to spot game out and about in the fields or on bush lines etc.

Well tonight was something truly special. In a 30 minute span of driving we saw a total of 75 deer. 6 different herds with 10+ in each. We pulled over and counted how many deer were in each herd we saw... amazing. Around every turn or bend was another group!

I don't think I have seen that many whitetails in one day or night ever in my life... I'm speechless, and wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it and experienced it myself. I thought I should share, as I'm sure you can all appreciate this.

Not seeing many in 65 for this time of year. Along the 417 at bearbrook they have done a bunch of cutting where there are usually deer this time of year. No deer eating the tops.

The only place I ever saw that many deer in such a time frame was in Pennsylvania. I guess with climate change Ontario is now like PA.

The above, also I-69 through Michigan , lots of deer!
The most I have ever seen around here was somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 to 37 , they were hard to count as they appeared nervous and were milling about , daughter thought it was great to see all those deer.

Upstate New York for me was the most. It was like a game of Frogger one night.

You could do the same on the 407 for a few bucks and save the effort of door knocking as you can't hunt them on the east portion. Don't know about the west. I watch a couple of the herds in the east. I think that is where some of the outdoor photographers get their big buck photos as they hold in place. Depressing you can't hunt them but I can imagine the outcry if I was to drag a nice buck out. Probably would cause an accident.

for ontario i feel like this was really something special. I felt like i was somewhere in the US Like NY or PA etc. it was a crazy experience. Especially for such a short time frame. I go for a drive and see the occasional herd every now and then, but six herds in a row on the same drive, one after the other was wild...

but worth a shot. Good luck nocking on doors! Hope you get permission! Would like to know how your season pans out.
