    Default Alliant's Black MZ..

I popped into Gun Mart in Brockville this morning to see what I could spend my allowance on and saw he had a 1lb jug of Black MZ under the glass.

I've read some good, and bad, things about it since it hit the market in 2011, so it intrigued me to take advantage my obvious good fortune and bring it home with me

I have lots of shooting to do to get my ML 12ga ready for Turkey season, so a chance to try out a new powder sounds like fun.

Will let you know how it pans out

    good review; http://www.chuckhawks.com/blackMZ.htm

From what I have been reading Pete, it's an ideal 'substitute' powder for sidelocks, especailly using the #11 cap. Burns cleaner, easy clean up and better ignition, at least compared to BH209 and T7.

Have to see how it works in the .45 Kentucky.

The snow is almost off the range, another week and I will be able to hoist the flag and start open the 2015 season. !!

I'll be waiting for the report. Especially re: how clean it is. I'm looking for a powder that approximates the Goex Clear Shot that is no longer made.
