I don't have the resources to put this together (land) but though it would be fun to have a fun / competitive .22 shoot meet and greet.

I'm merely putting the idea out there but would be willing to help organize.

    Anyone interested?

Yes , sounds like a great idea although I don't have land to offer. I am a member at a shooting club and I could inquire there but since weekends are pretty busy at most clubs I don't know how that will go.

I'm in Durham Region so I was thinking anywhere within 2 hours of GTA would be good.

    Jeff,

I am not trying to rain on your parade but I wonder if there would be any liability issues with a gathering like this.

    I really have no idea....

I guess if I had chunk of land and invited some friends over to shoot, I would stress the safety issues, maybe lay a few ground rules and hope everyone enjoyed some friendly competition....

I guess I would look at it the same as having a bunch of guys over to hunt my property. If I'm wrong I don't mind if someone wants to let me know.

True, which is why you'll likely not have anyone rush to offer up their own land for such an event. However, I'm sure if you get enough guys together, a local(ish) range would find a way to make room for you all.

The only difference being that if your buddies suffered an injury or damaged property through an accident you could be relatively assured they wouldn't try to sue you.

Not such a certain assumption when inviting a bunch of internet strangers. lol
