That's for the open house, because its a nightmare trying to know who's licensed or not. Who's an idiot or not.
With a closed small group( private party) .
They have forms for guests to fill out with pal #s club rules etc.
I would check everything was in order ahead of time, pass it in and i would assume it wouldn't be at all restrictive like the open house.

Open house rules are different than guest privileges.
Guests typically are fine to shoot their own, and max is 5 rounds in the gun at a time. (even.22).
Let me send an email to the exec today and see whats required. Looks like about 7-10 unless I'm wrong?

Good thing I remember where my five round mag is.. normally just fill my ten round mags for hunting.
I figured things would differant then an open house, same as open house rules would not work for a match between clubs.

Has too much time on their hands
Invite an ex-military and let him/her run the Range, better still if he is an old RSO (Range Safety Officer)... I train/guide the kids I take target shooting this way, ...pick up the rifle, keeping pointing down range..ect, ect. Range safety brief, first aid, 911, procedure, designated first aid, back trucks in, ceasefire rules...lol...I could go on and on. It gets to be quite fun, and instills good behavior and thought processes in new shooters. Hell worked for me at 17...

LOL. You saw we're looking at using my club with me as an RCO right?

Another thought on this...
Suppose a anti gun reporter shows up and sees them handing a fully loaded gun to whomever ... they'd have a hay day!

Ya like the DQ cashier handing me a Blizzard...I can think of very VERY few cases that someone would hand another person a preloaded gun/rifle. They all involve life and death moments.
It's a rifle range. It is simpler to just treat EVERYONE as a non-pal holder.
