Sunday Gun Hunting within the City of Sarnia Approved
On Monday April 13, 2015, council for the City of Sarnia, voted unanimously in favour of allowing Sunday gun hunting.
OFAH head office would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those individuals who were able to participate and attend either a council meeting, public meeting, or by showing their support through a personal letter, telephone call or email to council. Your assistance in this matter was greatly appreciated.
Sunday gun hunting within the City of Sarnia should be activated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in time for the fall hunting season.
Thanks for your support!

So does that mean you can discharge firearms within the city limits? Seems odd to me.

Allowing Sunday hunting doesn't override any existing discharge by-laws. It's a separate thing entirely.

Then I'm not sure what the big deal is Welsh??? Caltech care to clarify. It sounds like a great opportunity.

Like a lot of municipalities now, Sarnia encompasses a large area of rural land, as well as the city of Sarnia proper. No doubt discharge regulations exist in the urban area, but Sunday hunting is now going to be allowed in the rural farmland. Kudos to those who helped this process.
