Interesting, my hunt camp in 82a NE of Durham (not too far from you) was not updated - just checked. It does not show my food plots which were cleared and added about 4 years ago.
Just scaled the distance on GE - 29 km as the crow flies from Chesley to my camp.

The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.

im gonna check our place.
a sort of related point to make, is to also check out bing maps, as they may be better/more recent.
it has far better resolution images for my area.

It seems to be hit-or-miss weather Bing or Google has better maps for a given area. Either way, I sometimes find a few details here and there that are different and useful between the two.
It's amazing when you are out in the field and can actually select individual trees as you are standing beside them. As I get older the technology seems more and more incredible (and I am a friggin' tech worker myself!).

thanks i checked out bing, it is a little newer, judging by my fenceline, id say its from 2-3 years ago... its poorer resolution than google maps of my place though... nice thing though is bing is a summer image, where google image is from late march, so kinda get a good look from both aspects....

I have heard that the Building department in Hamilton has been comparing old vs new versions and nailing people for renos and work done without permits. In Lynden a newer version showed a house with a chimney that wasn't there before. Tax man gonna get you anyway he can these days
