A bit to late for practicw

Well just out in my blind as we speak and all of a sudden i hear shots on the neihgboring property and more shots like really isnt it a bit late to be practing you should be hunting by now ive been heaeing those guys for the past month shooting off random shots i guess my hunt is over for the evening #0!#!!

Gun shots (sound) doesn't bother most wild life.....I've fired my ML over a flock of Turkeys to hit a Buck during the ML season and all they did was run around a little and went back to peck at the ground.

I've also shot a Tom in a fleild and the rest of the flock didn't go anywhere...had to run them off when I recovered the Tom.

Agree with MP. If that's the norm for the area, then everything around it is accustomed to it as well.

Very well thanks guys i dont own guns just do archery thats why i was a little concerned but ill remember next time and just stay put

One property I hunt I went over Sunday for a little scouting session. Land owner comes out and say's he and a few buddies had been pounding rounds down the barrels of a few guns all day. As we're talking a coupla birds walk right in behind the targets the lads were shooting at. Not a half hour after them shooting for hours.

If a turkey cannot discern that they are the ones being shot at, they don't remotely care about gun shots. Most often deer don't either.

I have shot toms before and other toms have coming running in to attack the flopping bird! They don't care about gun shots, I think it happens so quick they are a bit shell shocked and don't clue in then its all over and they go back on their merry way lol

A friend and I doubled Tom's this morning. I took the first bird that was beating the Jake decoy. My friend had to wait a second for his bird to clear a few more yards in the woods.
