First turkey hunt ever. Awesome!
I went on my first turkey hunt ever this past Saturday. Now I really know what all the fuss is about. Had the most awesome day. Thanks so much to the guys out in Norfolk county. A very welcoming, friendly, and helpful attitude out there. Didn't end up getting on a Tom but had some hens come in really close and a few close encounters with some whitetails. Just an overall great day. Now, if I could actually smoke a Tom that would be amazing, but if not whatever. Still loved it. Learned A LOT and made some new friends. For me that's what it's all about.

Nice to hear a report like this. Hang in there, still lots of time left to bag your Tom or jake.

Great to hear you got out with friends. Sometimes it's not about the kill, but the experience and good times with friends. Stay on it, your patience will be rewarded.

Glad to hear you got out and had a good time. Some of the best hunts I've had was when I just "talked" to the birds for a while and didn't even see one. Like outback said wait till you get one on the ground, it was one of the most rewarding times of my life, when all the hard work and early mornings come together and pays off, its a feeling I can't describe!! Good Luck.

We gave it a solid effort but the birds just weren't cooperating. Unfortunately we are finding the bird numbers way down here this year. We hit some of the best farm my friends and I hunt and just didn't have much action. Should have setup in the field for flydo.
It was great meeting and hunting with you. You stuck it out all day too. We'll get you a chance at a bird next time. I'll just have to find them first. To making new friends and having some laughs. Let me know if you want to get out again.

We did have a bearded hen come in range, but we gave her a pass. I'm not that hungry.
