Bass fishing on the Saugeen
I'm looking forward to doing some bass fishing on the Saugeen this summer , however I'm new to the Saugeen ,and to bass fishing on the fly. Can anyone tell me where to fish for them ? I'm not asking for any ones honey holes , just where to start looking for them . Any information on flies , lines , and how to fish them would be appreciated .

Has too much time on their hands
Can't help you with the Saugeen.
As to equipment and flies: I use an 8'6" 7 wt Berkley rod with a floating line with generally a 4# leader. If I could I would also have a 4-5 wt rod. Flies I use are 1/100 oz jigs, Clouser Minnows, Black Bead head Wooly Buggers and Wooly Worms, Royal Coachman streamers and Muddler MInnows. Plus any type of grasshopper or crayfish imitation. This year i'm going to try a worm type imitation.

I've had bass smash small poppers and mouse patterns on top. Near the edge of froth and bubbles in eddies is a good place to start.
