1 was caught with worm from shore and mine was with EGB #2 about ten feet off shore.

Have you caught fish near that size before on that body of water or was this the first time for fish of that size and caliber... Have a lake that I use to fish that produced fish that size on occasion. Hard to get to but well worth the effort. Personal best out of it was 8 and a 1/4 lbs. Also caught with an EGC casting to the shoreline out of a canoe...

I have caught a 4.5 and 5.5 pound fish in that lake before have also caught 2 and 3 pound fish also.

Awesome, that's great. It's near impossible to find a lake that produces like that. The lake that I fished and still manage to get up there from time to time has a solid forage base for trout including fresh water shrimp. Thus giving the fish that reddish flesh. But most important is the difficulty getting into it. See the odd person back in there during the winter, but haven't seen a sole during ice out or later on during the year.
