I had a dog stolen once. Never seen again. Other than having a child taken, I can't think of a worse thing to do to somebody. It still bothers me.

I think this story is more like "cattle rustling" than stealing pets.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

Tugging on the heart strings of our Western sensibilities isn't going to change a culture steep in traditions...
Look what happened to the movement here to stop people from eating those poor "veal" calves...considered a delicacy by our culture and still sold in every grocery store across the country.
