    Really,how come I can read summary,s of hundreds of convictions yearly on both the MNR site and in the local newspapers?

    Down here in southern ontario, they tend to check alot when the fishing is hot with many guys fishing on the detroit river and they know they can write tickets all day long. They hand out tickets for the stupidest infractions.

    Maybe they handed off the bear issues to the police, who have staff and funding to be there 24 - 7 and take immediate care of emergency situations so they can concentrate on poachers with the few staff they have left do to under funding by previous groups of politicians!!

    I'll bet that if something like this happens down here again,there won't be another shyte show like we just saw. Everybody looked like morons.
    If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

    Wife almost hit a bear cub last night a few km's from our house near the turn into Russell. Haven't heard of a bear around hear in the 19 years I have lived here.

    I'm pretty sure he was just being sarcastic......I hope.

    Didn't think anybody would even read that as being serious but I guess now I know lol.

    Point was the MNR is very underfunded and many have stated they didn't even respond to people calling in poachers.
