Interesting how people get concerned when they are proposed in the area they live in or have a cottage in ,yet so many where silent when so many other areas fought this liberal boondoggle.
You got one shot at life where are your sights aimed today ?

Funny that eh TM? Funnier still are the people that championed it, wanted it. Talked about the jobs it would create, how it was the future and more. Completely ignoring concerns about reliability, cost, foot prints and blights on the landscape. Then again the Red machine represents in essence just two urban centers.
Nymbyism at it's finest.
Fast Forward to today and even left leaning media cant do much but call spades spades.
Yep Dalton and Ms Wind have their Legacy alright.

Which is funny when you think about the things Harper is so often ripped for. Be it some environmental things the jury is out on, gagging scientist ( I guess that's worse than ramming windfarms down peoples and rural communities throats)...the possible health concerns and mounting evidence there, and on and on.
Despite being a suburbanite and resident of the GTA. Sometimes I wonder how it is people can be so blind to what's occurring outside the city or if they ever actually spend any time looking around. If they've ever actually driven anywhere in the province other than on the 400 to the Muskoka's or 135 to the Kawartha's.
Everytime I visit Grey Bruce, some area's of SW Ont or Eastern Ont I just want to gag at the eyesores and blight, let alone the other issues that the GEA has caused.

JBen,
I travelled to Nashville in February to meet an Australian buddy of mine who was in town for business meetings. Two buddies of mine and a friend of one of my buddy. The four of us drove down because it was less expensive than flying. We drove on the 401 to Windsor. Straight through the massive windfarms in Chatham-Kent county. I could count the number of turbines rotating on one hand. As a farm kid and an outdoorsman, I was simply at a loss at the amount of good farmland in use for that eyesore. The topic got to the windfarm and how the turbines weren't rotating, etc. I made a comment about how much of an eyesore they were and my buddy's friend (from Toronto) says "I don't see them as an eyesore". I let him explain himself and then I asked him this question: Would you still feel that way if you had to live here the rest of your life? He said probably not but because he didn't have to live here, he didn't have to see it so he is ok with it. This is the mentality we are dealing with for this issue. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.

The citiots and liberals who think these turbines are great don't own land affected by this and likely don't see them either. Why do you think it is none are built near and in the GTA? For liberals wrecking the value of a family farm is perfectly OK. These damned things cost us money every day that they actually spin. How these crooked imbeciles not only got elected but handed carte blanche and the keys to the vault is just bizzare. mind boggling......

It is not needed. It gets sold off at a loss.

This brings full circle to the typical Liberal "business plan",all dogma,no common sense or logic.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
