    I don't think by-catch would include unopened vac packed fillets! Hopefully the FN enforcement will investigate. I'll bet there's a new gate there shortly so that the public can't just walk in anymore. Hard to respect the laws of Nipissing when you know others aren't respecting the resource.Dan O.

    Unlikely.

    Not the first time there have been... issues. Colpoys Bay for example, I have heard stories of nets across streams, nets left out for weeks full of rotting fish... etc..

    The witnesses said they saw nets too close to spawning streams, nets longer than allowed under the SON agreement, and nets laid with no markers or only one marker, when two are required.
