Now that would be a good topic!!
When a man hasn't seen a woman for years a friendly female officer looks like a darn good opportunity to manipulate. . High risk job for women ; you can't cross the line.

There are bad apples in every profession. Innocent until proven guilty in court still has to reign.

THANKS !
My reason for posting is that Cops are supposed to be above reproach , they arrest and charge the normal citizen for what he has done , but the fact that he still has his job and still gets paid is very irritating.
They have to change the law.
He will be able to delay this in courts for 2 to 3 years , get paid, with possibly a raise if a new contract comes in then he can resign without going to court and retire with all his benefits including pension.
This is exactly what a Hamilton cop did not long ago collecting well over $300,000.00 dollars while sitting on his butt doing nothing.

Seems this guy has a drug and gambling problem ( theft under 5000 from WALLMART ? ) if he refused treatment back then he should of been fired . end of story. Bet he ponies up and admits to having issues and asks for help this time.

Substance abuse is what it looks like to me,too. I hope he gets the help he needs, gets back to work and resumes his place as a healthy, contributing member of society. He may not be able to be a Policeman, again, but, then again,he may. Time will tell.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

I am not a cop lover. I think there are quite a few with personality issues, and that these issues are why many seek this type of employment. I believe that they should be held to a higher standard.
That said:
1) Innocent until proven guilty applies to these guys too.
2) Cops are investigated all of the time. It is common for cops to be "reported" for things. Remember there are always those wanting to retaliate against the cops in many different ways.
3) On substance abuse. It is a real problem within police ranks due to the stuff they see...not that this should give them a bye on their behaviour.
