Again I say DISGUSTING. This cow should be ashamed of herself.
While I wholeheartedly agree that such things should be considerations they must be able to certify the work to meet the requirements of the RFQ. Do you have knowledge of the bid package? The requirements of such?
I have personally won work for my employer where the project stated "Buy American" all over it (going to a US Air Force Base) But due to our certifications and multifaceted abilities we (100% Canadian Company) were given the contracts.

Has too much time on their hands
This ought to be good, weeks of complaints, yelling, articles in the paper... and they still can't explain WHY. My garden could feed the city on the "fertilizer" I am expecting.

The Ontario Transportation Ministry has promised to explain to Stanton and others next Tuesday in London why the Ontario-Quebec partnership didn’t get the nod.

“They went right to the bottom line and decided this is who is going to get job, no social economic benefit or Canadian content or Ontario employment levels were considered,” said Stanton. He added if he had gotten the work his employment level would have swelled from a low of 25 to 75, not to mention the spinoff economic benefits.
Among other things, Hike Metals has built ferries, fire and police boats, coast guard vessels and a 45-metre ocean-going luxury yacht.
“This thing is just big floating boxcar. We have built vessels a lot more elaborate than this,” he said of the 63-metre new ferry.

Once again. The Wynne government gives Ontario taxpayers the finger. What did people expect after handing her a strong majority government? Her track record up to that point was of fraud and extreme incompetence. If somebody or reporter was to dig real deep into this deal I wonder what kind of connections to Liberal party members would surface?
Wynne will now use all her contacts and union resources to campaign for Trudough up until the vote. God help this country if we have Liberals in Ontario, Quebec and Ottawa and a ticking bomb in Alberta now.

And I quote.
“I understand that people are frustrated about a contract that … a Canadian company didn’t win. I understand that,” said Wynne,
For a politician who measures each and every word carefully. I find that odd.
"A Canadian company....Shouldn't she have said an "Ontario" company?
Then again, she and her bed fellows have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt where their allegiance/priorities lie and they aren't with rural Ontario or area's and people hit hard not only by various economic realities today, but by their own mishandling, ignoring A to shower B with vote buying.

The premier of Toronto does not care one bit about what happens elsewhere in the province.

The Chatham-Kent riding that includes both towns isn't part of THEIR Ontario.... it is a PC riding.

Okay, here's my query given that I am well familiar with the process of government tendering and RFPs. Where are the documents? There has to be some link between the Ontario Liberals and the Chileans. Somewhere, somehow there is a money trail... has to be. There is no other logical explanation.

Liberals and Logic don't go well together.....just another train wreck after train wreck that will get covered up with goggly gook when they get asked to explain it.

Why is cheaper to have it built in Chille and delivered here than a local building right here ?

Because the Ontario company didn't contribute to the Libranos campaign. And they must be homophobes.
