Not a good idea if you have young kids, that stuff will sure take the hide of their faces or shins should they fall on it .
It can happen with adults also.

Plenty of boats have marine vinyl flooring.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to have to stop in to Outdoorfabricscanada the next time I'm in Barrie and check out the vinyl. It seems to be about the same price as marine carpet so I may go with that.
Do you glue it down like marine carpeting?
