Long point area bass info?

Want to try for some smallmouth bass fishing in the Longpoint area but never have fished there. I would like to target the smallmouth, Can someone recommend a good boat launch to use that would provide the best access to the bass fishing spots. Also what is the best bait to use out there, I was thinking crayfish? Are the smallmouth in the inner bay or outer, any info would be helpful.

turkey point .go out to the bouys and fish the channel ,deeper water ,Dutch

Inclusive launch and docking with camping or day pass at the provincial park. Google "channel 6-8". Its a fishing message board based out of longpoint but covers the whole north side of erie. Has maps and suggested spots.
