Moose Great read, pictures and report. I must say, reading your stories over the past year we are finally going up this August and yes we are to Onaman River Resort. As this was on our bucket list, I'm looking forward to fishing the Nip for a good trophy speck.

I'm mainly a trouter and look forward to the lake trout and specs that Nip has. We'll going for a week and will be targeting all different species.

Feel free to pm me with any thoughts, locations and or techniques that you may think would work for us in August.

thanks again for the great story, pics and report.

Will file a report, hopefully with pics next month.

    Play safe

Ahhh Bunk, thanks for that I always look forward to your adventures and I really enjoy reading about them and seeing the pictures even though, or possibly because, it takes a few visits to give the post the time it deserves.

Sounds like an awesome place to pass some time with some fantastic fishing, people and landscapes.

Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.
Heeere fishy fishy fishy fishy! :fish:

I don't care about the report, the pelicans, the giant grey/lake trout, huge pike, turtle, numerous pickerel (some yahoos call them walleye SMH), the poop-hawks, bald eagles, pushing instead of pulling trailers, cool old dog, stunning speckled trout, awesome scenery or really cute kids catching fish with their dad. Nope. I just like that perch. What a great perch!
And she thinks we’re just fishin’ on the riverside, throwin’ back what we could fry. Drownin’ worms and killin’ time, nothin’ too ambitious.
