That is a great find. You should be proud. Always adds to our life when we discover something about our parents.

My Dad was a pitcher(Belleville) and called in 1937? to try out for the big leagues in Florida. He couldn't raise the funds to go, but his catcher went. His catcher was killed in a terrible car accident before he got there. If my Dad had gone............

    Cool find RB..
My dad, apparently, raced the old (now expensive) Gull-winged Mercedes on dirt tracks.
Later to end up with Shell Canada. Raised 4 pretty good kids on top of that.
Dont know how they did it but as a Dad myself (2 1/2 year old) I'm pretty darn proud of him too!!

    Great thread,
    Tough sport he played....

Forgot about this one too the whole team was inducted into the hall of fame with stats like this no wonder
the Minor Excelsior teams won 77 games, tied 4 and only lost 1 over the span of five years

This is awesome, some family pride right there.

My uncle is the Lacrosse player in our family, he won the MVP for the league in his final year of high school even though he blew out his knee half way through and played D, he was the top scorer in the league.

Too bad this sport does not get the recognition it deserves.

Iwas hoping to get a couple home games on tape from the Garden's but the tapes were tapped over According to CHCH T.V.
