    Default ATV Arctic Cat 366

Going to have a look-see at one (used) tomorrow. Just looking for a camp bike. Not out for long trail rides or major excursions. I'm wondering if anyone has some advice regarding same? Pro's Cons? It's a 2008

    Thanks

Don't know much about the Cats but condition is important too. If it was previously owned by a little old man with a goofy hat and suspenders and shows few dents and dings on the belly pan then it may not be a bad investment.
If the bike seems overly clean, check inside the glove box for mud and crap in there. I'd never buy a used anything if a kid had access to it.

Stay away from arctic crap. They all run like junkers. I owned one, worst machine ever, next to a polaris. Should've rolled it off the trail and lit it on fire! There where 2 others in my camp as well, both of em dogs. I ended up with a Yamaha, and now my bike always starts and runs well.

Oh ya, I'd book a taxi to come and get me out of the woods before I'd take an Arctic Crap or Polaris.

They are the Chinese line of AC's and have a very good reputation. Just google the forums and you'll see they have a great track record considering they've been around for a few years now. Somebody else on this board has one. Maybe they will chime in.

    I'd also take sawbill's advice.

The only guy with problems in our deer camp is the one with an AC.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

never seen any one that didn't have a problem with artic cat.
I'm a Honda guy, but I would stay with Honda, Yamaha or maybe even Suzuki.
also take seat off and have a look at the bottom side of it.
if it is clean, it is likely not been swamped, but if it shows mud/water marks, etc. it may have been in the drink.

Ok sawbill, take a look at my avatar! I'm not that little, but I could very well be that guy you describe. LOL

Thanks for everyones replies. I have read a few reviews on the bike and they are mixed. As I said, I'm just looking for a camp bike. A little running around with the trailer, getting into my deer blinds and maybe a short road trip once in awhile? The wife can also use it to go down the road to visit a few friends. I've still got my old quadrunner to pull wood out of the bush and plow a bit of snow. I'll see the bike tonight and decide.

I own one , other then fit and finish stuff it's not a bad bike , the lack of recoil is one thing I don't like and it has the typical artic cat front diff seal leaks , not the most powerful machine but works for what I use it for , I haven't spent any money on it yet which is a good thing , it gets used as a work machine mostly I'm old enough and have enough other stuff to fix that I'm not much attracted to big mud holes anymore lol
You got one shot at life where are your sights aimed today ?
