ATV's in Quebec
Didn't know where to post this and didn't realize I first posted in the for sale section. But...
Are our ATV plates and insurance valid in Quebec? Can we drive in the bush over there as long as were on Crown?

Yes, just like driving any other vehicle. Plates insurance, drivers licence and helmet. If you drive off crown, then you'll most likely need a trail permit. You can get a 3 day for $60.

For the maintained trail, you also need a rear view mirror and working brake light.
Not sure if that applies to crown land on that side of the border.

In general terms each province/state has it's own regulations/rules. That said, if visiting (ie QC from ON), then the minimum requirements for vehicle equipment from ON would apply. Having a mirror isn't a bad idea.

greatwhite- best to contact tourism Quebec. This way you know for sure & don't find out things the hard ($$$) way. Another thing www.goridingmagazine.com (canadien group) they've talked about trips to other provinces & to the states before. They would have info as well.
