Looking for suv for family and hunting

Anyone have any experience with a- Dodge Journey v.6 , Chevy Equinox v6, or dodge caravan v6 this of these do you guys ,ladies recommend ? I would be driving family around, hunting towing boat, and would want only fwd.

please advise ASAP.

First,you need to determine what the weight of any towed vehicle will be and,secondly, how much heavy duty use it will need to handle. Standard smaller sized SUV's are excellent for run-abouts with the family and the odd outdoors excursions,but,will never stand up to continued heavy duty use. You can't drive a spike with a tack hammer.

That is the setup most people would be best with. An AWD suv with a utility trailer for the few times you need to haul bigger loads. Towing with fwd minivans is not the best tool. Get into any kind of an accident while towing more than the vehicles rating and your insurance company will fry you.

I was in the same situation with the wife's car. We looked at Dodge Journey, outlander or vw Touareg diesel. And my wife fell in love with the Touareg. To be honest, service cost a lot but it tows my boat with no issues. But if it wasn't the Touareg then I would of been the Outlander- can fit 7 ppl. So a lot room for ppl and gear.
