I got a calf tag today and we don't have adult tags this year,either. We now only have five guys (retired) going of the eleven in the camp. The younguns can't justify taking the time away from work and families. We agreed we would no longer take calves,so,it looks like it's Bears,Pickerel,beer and euchre for the six day hunt. We won't see the young lads until the Deer hunt,this year.

In the northern WMUs you cannot hunt calves in the first 2 weeks open season anyways and need an adult tag to hunt moose. Go after this time so you dont end up having to prove to COs you are not hunting moose out of moose camp.

Our camp is south of the French-Mattawa River where the Moose hunt is only for 6 days starting Oct 19-24. There are no calf restrictions in our area.

We got our bull tag for 16A. Sounds like a few other locals got what they applied for also.
