Fishing Trip for Ottawa area?
Girlfriend and I would like to go on a fishing trip, not set on details as far as sleeping arrangements and such, but would like it to be semi remote or at least feel like it, ( as in not having neighbours you can see from your campsite). Tenting it is fine, or a cheap cabin setup. Would like it to be on a good lake or river for fishing. And would prefer it within 2.5-3 hours from Ottawa. Likely looking to do just a weekend.
Research doesn't come up with much so I figured someone of you have done this sort of thing before.
Thanks in advance guys.

No neighbours is tough these days. If you have a canoe go in the east gate of Algonquin and check out some lakes in there.
Bonnechere River is good fishing and close to you.

Drive a little further to Temagami, and rent a houseboat. I think I have even seen there are houseboat rentals on the Mattawa River.

There are many places within 3 hrs of Ottawa. Twin Lakes near Griffith area, Quacken Bush is just another 50 km's. Also up past Pembroke is Bissett Creek. If you want more details just PM me. I also have some maps I could send you by email.
