I just got back from checking my bait and these are some of the pics. just wondering from the seasoned bear hunters out there how big do you think the bear are in the pictures! Im new to the bear hunting...I tried last year but no success shooting any...except on trail camera!! Im trying to learn how to judge there size. Does it look like the same bear or maybe two different bears?

No expert but my guess would be about 150 lbs... but like I said just a guess... Not sure if they are the same bears but appear (to me anyway) about the same size...
    Best of luck this year

Pictures can be so deceiving. Specially with bears. In the first pic the bear is much closer to the camera. You need a fixed reference point, like right at your barrel, where you could put marks on it so that you can accurately measure the height of the critter. That will put you in the ball park at least. As for the weight of that one, I'll just say that it will be much heavier a month from now and great eating to boot. Good luck

150 -175lbsfor the first bear... two different bears... the pic on the bottom the back is at the top of the barrel... that one may be pushing the 200lbs mark.

No bear expert here either, but I would say its the same bear. I base that on how the size of the ears look on the head of the bear. Top pic he is way closer to the camera. I would say he is 200 plus. Definitely a nice bear to take in my books. Good luck.
