Although it's not in their policy book. Muclair has stated several times that he see no reason for firearms owners to have Military guns. Considering he thought the SKS is more power then any hunter needs is something to be worried about.
Justin has also stated that nobody in Canada hunts to feed their families and that it is just a sport for fun.

I'm much more concerned about the Liberals, because they have no published position on firearms but of course their long-standing pro-control position goes without saying. There's no way to assess what they might do, given that they won't talk about their ideas.
But the Liberal platform ought to tell us one thing. It's full of things the CPC did that they intend to roll back or end, yet there's not one thing about guns. That tells us guns aren't polling well. They're not an election issue because no one sees getting much traction from them. Might be time to stop catastrophizing here.

Just because they are shrewd enough to not publish "all" they intend to do doesn't mean they don't intend to do it. There is a rumour going around that politicians don't actually always tell the truth......dunno seems dishonest right?

Not sure Justin always knows what he is saying. He is a trained performer and good at memorizing lines/scripts and displaying his good side for the cameras. Poor kid might not understand he is lieing.

Catastropizing? Without doubt, but,it can't be ignored. The LPOC has told all their people and sent the "word" out to the media to avoid all comments about gun control because it's such a touchy subject. The intention is to be elected to majority or coalition, first, then, they'll work to repeal C-42 and install their own system however it takes shape. Rest well assured. They have a plan. They're just staying quiet about it,that's all.

Catastrophizing is one cognitive distortion....

Another is mind-reading, where we assume we know what others think or intend ... such as thinking we know that the Liberal Party has secretly sent instructions to all its people and to its co-conspirators in the media (there's another cognitive distortion, while we're at it), and that we know its secret intent.

JT and the federal Liberals and what might they be planning, if anything?
Take your cue from who is or will be pulling the strings, setting policy. He more than either SH or TM is nothing more than a masthead and puppet.
The Liberal strategy is beginning to look very familiar to anyone who followed Dalton McGuinty’s campaigns, which should be no surprise, given the number of Queen’s Park veterans on board.

See Ms Wynnes involvement, and now also the ESST.
What was many of their thoughts, positions, see also some problems with the CFO here, and their backing of.

Well that just sums up where the long gun registry came from perfectly.
