    Default Sarnia hunting

    hey all,
New to the forum here. Long story short i just moved to sarnia for work and i've been having some trouble finding some place to hunt. I come from the north where crown land is everywhere and apparently they have none here? Is my only resort going to knock on farm house doors? Im looking to hunt deer and coyotes. Also get into some turkey hunting ive seen quite a few down here. thanks for any help
    Sean

You got it. Get the new Dodge 1500 diesel so you have great mileage and head north when you can. Essentially no crown south of Bracebridge. Get to know every farmer you can. Tons of game, just access issues.

Lots of places to hunt in the Sarnia and surrounding area. I live out in the Camlachie Bluepoint area and have locked up some good hunting spots. Some excellent Bluebill hunting on Lake Huron as well as duck hunting on nearby Lake St. Clair. Lots of good creeks and river hunting for wood ducks as well. Talk to local farmers with woodlots that hold an abundance of turkey, rabbit and deer. Coyotes are in abundance in the Alvinston area as well. You don't have to head north and believe me lots to be found in your new backyard.

I have considered hunting along the border of the plants (chemical valley) but I am a little concerned of the chemical fallout and eating any of the wild game. Good luck and keep us posted.
