Thanks guys. I'm going to attempt to shave his ears down a bit tonight, real close behind the ears then do the ears themselves but not right buzzed. Just enough to hopefully keep the majority of stuff out and keep the mats at bay.

If ya make a mess of it im pretty sure he won't mind.

First attempt made, almost impossible to hold him still. Real hack job. Got the majority of it, gonna try again tomorrow for the rest of his ears.

I just got my britt her hunting hair cut for the season. Number 7 blade at the groomers ALL over. We call her stubble-butt. She looks like a pup again, or looks like a short tailed english pointer. By next summer, her coat is back to just her regular length.
A bad day hunting is still better than a good day at work!
