They could have been 105. Worth every penny for the experience.

Most definitely, there are tons of birds, but they are a bit simple and don't make it a real challenge, they don't like to fly. We got 8 last weekend just with the bows when we went out for moose.

Wow, 295$ for a non resident deer licence! Better do my homework. For another 80$ I can hunt Anticosti Island where there is no baglimit... Hmmm... now to find the Crown Land Atlas for Quebec. That should be fun...

There are three reasons to own a gun. To protect yourself and your family, to hunt dangerous and delicious animals, and to keep the King of England out of your face.

And remember that if hunting on a Zec or reserve, there are additional fees.

most offer 1 day, 3 day, 7 day passes, but watch as some charge for each game separately

Anticosti has a limit of two deer. Anticosti is also part of Quebec, so unless there is something strange going on, you likely need a QC non-residents license.

Thanks for the heads up. You know it's kind of sad when you pay more to hunt in the province next door than in some southern states.
Actually, the fact that Canadians are viewed as non residents in other provinces and we pay the same as if we were from some other country. Pretty sad...

State/province residency is that standard throughout north America because in both Canada and the states, non-migratory game/birds are managed by the state/province. Ontario's non-res deer license is $240. There are some states with reciprocity agreements - a non-residents license in these states cost varies...its based on your home states non-res license fee, and if your state has that in place as well, you pay a residents fee in the other state. Pretty good way of doing things but waaaay to complicated to implement for the MNR.

Well, I guess I'll just have to buy a chunk of land in Quebec., build a hunting shack and give it an address...
