Moose Hunt!! When are you going?
When is everyone heading out for the moose hunt (if you're going)? Our group is heading up to 19 in two weeks - I can't wait! The truck has been serviced and is ready for the 3000+km round trip adventure. We have a large enough group that we were able to draw a Cow and a Bull - we'll be a little over one week shy of the calf hunt, so hopefully the bush won't be as crazy. The temps in the long term are finally starting to drop overnight, so hopefully things will be looking good up there.
Last year we got stuck in a HWY 11 closure due to a fatality near Tamagami resulting in a very, very long detour. Here's hoping for good travel weather and a safe trip for everyone!
Cheers,
FishFrenzy

That sounds like a great morning to get out and hunt! I can't wait for the crisp morning air up north.

Just returned from 16 c in Armstrong . We had lots of tags but no luck. Very little sign and a lot less hunters than last year. Will be hunting out of my camp in WMU 56 with a bull tag on Oct 19th.

If hunting is a sport, than I'm an athlete.
