Where to buy wolf tags?

Our group is going to buy some wolf tags when we head up to moose. Any ideas where to get them?

I'm assuming they are hard to come by south of the French as it's not required. I was at CDN Tire in the Soo a month ago and the lady said they don't sell them there. I checked online and that doesn't appear to be an option.

Any ideas?

If they sell hunting licenses then they have to sell you a wolf seal.

Also, they don't come available until the day or so before the hunt (Sept. 15th). We tried to buy some the 13th of September and couldn't either.

Its a problem for hunters in transit to a remote camp who want to buy a tag on a Saturday and can't when the season opens on a Tuesday.

Our group may also pick up wolf tags as we head up. Last year we seen fresh tracks every day although we've actually never laid eyes on them.

Saw my first live wolf in the bush up here on Friday Grouse hunting. Came around the corner and there he was. Turned and bolted. Glad I didn't have the dog with me. Have gotten them on my cam before and have seen them down South. But this as first personal encounter up here.
