Looking for goose hunting spot or people to join near Kitchener
I have been unsuccessfully searching for a goose hunting spot near Kitchener so I figured I would try here. I am willing to travel up to 2 hours to get there and would also be willing to join other hunters if they are willing to have another person. I always leave an area at least as clean as when I get there and am an OFAH member so I have liability coverage.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Welcome to the forum and I wish you luck in your endeavor. You should provide a little more info such as, what decoys do you have, do you have a dog, truck? Basically what are you brining to the table. As I am sure you are aware goose hunting is a lot of work spent scouting, developing relationships with landowners and work to acquire gear often taking many years.

I am a relatively new hunter and found out the spot I was going with a friend's family they didn't have express permission to use but believed that it was OK since everyone around there hunts those fields.
I have a 2 dozen decoys and an eager willingness to learn and do this the right way.
I have been out knocking on doors just haven't had any luck so far. Either they are unwilling to have hunters or they have an arrangement with someone already.

The first issue i see in your endevour is the timing of it all.
Oct 6 is not the best time. You need to learn farming and crop paterns and do your door knocking in august or july. You cab turn anmaybe or noninto a yes with multiple visits while not putting pressure on the farmer.
When someone comes to your door trying to sell u something most people say no and close the door without even listening because there is pressure to say yes now.
Im far from you, but know there is lots of land to be had. I have lots of.permission and know lots of farmers and have yet to meet one that really cares if you kill geese on their land.
Same thing kind of applies for trying to join a group. I had others come out before and ended up not liking them or the attitude and now will just go by myself if none of the regulars can go.
Good luck finding something. Just keep at it. Try to get together with a group next year to do some team door knocking and scouting and have a beer. Its way more about enjoying yourself than 5 dead geese anyways.
