I am kind of worry about the weight but I'll still take it.

I'm really not after a trophy so I was hoping to see some smaller bear in the area (only care about the meat) but that's the only bear that comes around..... Just added some bread and oil in a bucket as you mentioned in your video thread.

From every information I found online, it does look like a sow. Hope to find out soon enough....

Wow, what a fine looking specimen! Couldn't tell you if its a boar or sow, but man what a hawg!!! I guess if you are looking for an eater bear perhaps a smaller younger boar would do better than this ol' fat boy. Cool vids man.

Sows hardly ever go over 300 pounds, good luck and hunt the wind in order to be successful.

I am not a bear hunter, but find it very fascinating that a wild animal would get that fat... most wild animals are usually one or two missed meals away from starvation...

I try, this stand is only a North or North-West wind but it's close from a ridge so it swirl a little. I setup that stand for hunting deer with a xbow so I feel like I'm too close from the bait for pile, 25 yards. I'm going to have to rethink the all setup if I really want to go after bear next year.

I'm wonder how much time they spend a day to find food. It must be a lot and it's still pretty rare to encounter them.

My gun stand is only 30 yards ,and Thursday and Saturday the wind is right but are off days for baiting. If it doesn't work out for tomorrow I'll bait Later Sat. Then hunt.
