    Default Dog's first geese

Got out for a field hunt this morning. Dog did fantastic for his first time on them. 4 birds total, and 2 other dogs but Jake retrieved all the birds as the other 2 (a toller and a lab) wouldn't retrieve them. 3 great marks, and a good blind retrieve across a creek. Not too bad, the geese were the same size as the dog.

Cass, thinking you mean "frou-frou," like one of them trained by Sharon's "buddy" Polmaise over there to Scotland, of all places. Not the same lol indeed

As for the retrieverless Lab and timid toller (bless your boss' heart), not all the same lol ditto.

Good job with Jake on the honkers - keep the pics comin'.

how much does he weigh (the dog). I've seen smallish springer retrieve geese, but not a cocker.
(MG I saw your boykin pics).
