In the mean time back in the real world not the eDUH ME cated world we see once again the electricity rates in Ontario going up November 1.

The Ontario Energy Board will hike electricity prices Nov. 1.
The price is increasing by approximately $4.42 per month on the “electricity” line, and about 3.4 per cent on the total bill, for a household that consumes 800 kWh per month, the Ontario Energy Board states. Electricity prices make up about 60 per cent of the total bill of households using 800 kWh/month.
The new price for peak time (weekdays, 7 a.m.-11 a.m. and 5 p.m.-7 p.m.) is 17.5 cents per Kwh, up 1.4 cents. For off-peak time (weekdays, 7 p.m.-7 a.m., weekends and holidays) it will be 8.3 cents per kWh, up 0.3 cents.
and another Hamilton plant closing with 180 jobs lost, there will be some opportunities to move to the Kitchener location so some hope.

Sooner or later "people" will come to realize, whether its federal or provincial.
First past the post has to go. It is the root of so many problems. We here talk a lot about "if you live south of Hwy 7" theres no voice, Queens Park is ruled by Toronto and thats true. The amount of pandering to area's simply for the SEATS...or special interest for their support....
Forget Ontario, look at Federal elections. where its
EAST vs WEST...What do westerners often say of us..."Toronto is the centre of the Universe" "Red Toronto". Look at all the pandering many Liberal govts have done and do, to keep Quebec solidly in the pockets. People blame Harper for divisiveness? Ok, thats Fair. It started with PET with he alienated the West and its just gotten worse and worse and worse and worse.
Why did JT throw a boat load of money at the Maritimes? To help them with jobs? Not necessary, the EU trade pact Harper signed last year will result in a lot of investment in their harbours and ports. Our military? Please. I hope people are smatter than that. Its going to cost "us" in the arctic, bet on that.
Thats not to say Cons don't do it either.

Urban vs Rural
No, the world (canada nor Ont) should be governed by either. Porportional Representation.
Will address many problems, not the least which is the amount of regional pandering for seats and Special Interest or Unions

Couldn't agree with you more John. I don't like the regionalism that has set-up after the last election. Maybe more people would vote if they knew their vote would count even if their party didn't get elected in a majority.

Well Trudeau #1 created more divisiveness between the east and west and we have already seen Trudeau #2 saying Quebecers are better and Canada's problem is it was run by the west.... personally I will take the west. Predictably we will see the Quebec favouritism shown by his dad and Chretien back in full swing.... SO...
We have the bloc, I wonder how much the Republic of Western Canada will gain traction....

I will admit/agree that IMO (meaning just my opinion) the Liberals both federally and provincially are by far, the worst culprits as far as vote buying/pandering go and abusing the inherent weakness in First Past. (just think about Quebec alone) or provincially and Red Toronto, and yep, they certainly have done a great job in their own smear campaigns painting Harper as the one creating the divisiveness.
However it's a fine line the Cons have/do it themselves, just nowhere near as badly/blatantly, and no Conservative gov't really, has tried to do much about it themselves.

Exrtemely good article. Read it carefully, note various points. Then ask yourself if you don't see all the problems highlighted, be they the regional issues, special interest or as Dan O noted above, how and why the public is becoming apathetic.
