We had the cow and calf come out of a small wet hole just off the log truck landing on our property. The older of the 2 boys was with me and he heard the crunching and gave me the heads up.
The ran out about 80 yards away and I got a good shot. The calf only went about 20 more yards and fell. The bullet broke his spine @ the hump.
We then used the loader to drag him out.

Nice moose, I had to do a double take on the third picture, it seemed like you had Photoshop a giant for a second, then I realized there were kids in the photo too... 
silly me...

Nothing to it.....make plans to do the same thing next fall and Nature will teach......
My buddy had planned to head home by Wed night , with a load of walleye fillets as a bonus......brought home tag soup instead.....
