Its here, its here! Its finally here ! - The RIFLE HUNT
Here we go folks; one week from now many of us will be re-uniting with friends and family at hunt camps across Ontario for the November Rifle Hunt. This is bar none my favourite hunt of the year and the culmination of my years preparations.
I'll be going to the family camp in WMU49 for the week. After a taster with the moose hunt in which we saw several deer, including some bucks, im ready to go!
Good luck to all! Be safe and have fun!

Has too much time on their hands
Just spent the last five days at the camp and I'm ready to go back for almost 10 in a week.
Saw douzens of partridge (got 5) and five deers, but no moose, I have a feeling it's going to be good again.

My bag is already half packed!! Seriously it is. Gotta pick up beer and some food tomorrow, quick check through all my gear and I'm ready. Off tomorrow then four long long days of work to go. Will take my daughter out for Halloween then off to the camp Sunday morning. Can't wait!

I'm hoping to get my camp setup on Wednesday, and planning on heading in Saturday morning, get my stuff to camp then off to my cousins camp for our wild game dinner/party. I inherited the chefs position at this party so I will be spending Friday night getting the menu ready.
Bring on the rut.
If hunting is a sport, than I'm an athlete.

Looks like I will get a week of hunting 'mono a cervidae' behind my place and then I'll join up with the camp for the 2nd week. If I shoot a deer during the 1st week, I'll donate the meat to the camp pole. That way I can hunt with the gang the 2nd week on camp tags...win win !!
Good luck all....hope what you're hunting for shows up in your shooting lane and your aim is true !!!
Hunt safe.

Not impressed with the 14 day weather forecast - not dropping below freezing for the first week and opening day - RAIN!
Good luck everyone!
